Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa directed to conduct an internal investigation regarding the Public Prosecution’s report that an inmate at the Reform and Rehabilitation Centre had been beaten up before he died.
The Interior Minster ordered to review all procedures and cooperate with the Public Prosecution to bring the perpetrators to justice, the Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs said, pointing out that what happened was an individual behaviour which is rejected as it contravenes the principles of police work and the Interior Ministry’s security ethics.
