
Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar approved on Monday a reshuffle inside his ministry that involved a number of security directors.
Director of Cairo Criminal Investigations Department Abdel Aziz Khadr was removed from his post and appointed as assistant to Beheira security chief.
Major General Mohamed Mansour succeeded Khadr.
Earlier in the day, Ghaffar appointed Major General Essam Saad as security director of Ismailia governorate in succession of Major General Ali el Azazi who was moved to the ministry's headquarters.
The minister also decided to move Major General Gomaa Tawfiq, deputy security director of Ismailia, and Major General Mahmoud Farouk, director general of Ismailia Investigation, to the ministry's headquarters, on the back of the prison break in Ismailia governorate.
