
The Interior Ministry announced on Sunday the killing of two dangerous takfiri elements in Shorouk city of Cairo.
Ahmed Mohamed and Ahmed Mahmoud were killed following a firefight with security men, the ministry said in a statement, adding that a large amount of ammunition were seized with the terrorists.
They are involved in carrying out several terrorist attacks in Cairo and Giza governorates, including the killing of a policeman and wounding another when they targeted a checkpoint in Heliopolis in August, the statement read.
It added that the two terrorists planted also three bombs in different parts of Cairo and Giza governorate earlier.
The public prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
