
Kuwait's Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad and the accompanying delegation left here on Wedneday returning home after a five-day official visit to the Republic of Bangladesh.
Lieut. Gen. Al-Fahad's visit to the Republic of Bangaldesh came within framework of exchange of expertise and information between both countries and with aim of boosting mutual cooperation.
Al-Fahad discussed here on Tuesday security issues and bilateral relations with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He also held talks with Bangladesh's Army Chief of Staff General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan and his assistant for administrative affairs and man force, Major General Muhammad Mahfouz el Rahman.
The kuwaiti delegation also conducted talks with the Armed Forces Director of the Premiership, Abu Bilal Mohammad Shafi. The meeting was followed with a visual presentation about the Bangladeshi Armed Forces and a visit to Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) at the training institute for the officer cadets of Bangladesh Army. It is located in Bhatiary, in the Chittagong District of south-east Bangladesh.
His visit to the academy aimed at getting aquainted with the abilities of the Bangladeshi army.
Al-Fahad planted a tree at the Bangladeshi Army Staff Chairmanship headquarters, as a symbol of strong ties between both nations. He hailed the cooperation of the Bangladesh's Army Chief of Staff General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, who expressed readiness for further mutual cooperation in various fields, especially the security sector.
Al-Fahad and the accompanying delegation were seen off by Bangladeshi Army's commander of supplies district, Major General Muhammad Mizanul Rahman, in addition to a number senior army officials.
