
Iraqi security troops, backed by Anbar police, foiled a terrorist attack by Daesh in eastern Ramadi city in Anbar province, western Iraq, a security source with Anbar said on Thursday.
The eight booby-trapped cars' onslaught resulted in killing a number of Daesh militants, the source added.
Joint Iraqi forces along with the US-led coalition strikes managed to slain 74 Daesh elements who attempted to storm Ramadi City, while two Iraqi policemen were killed in the violent attack launched by Daesh on Anbar.
In a related context, Many Daesh leaders fled out of three cities in Kirkuk province heading for Mosul city that is still under control of Daesh militants, according to Kurdish sources.
