
Baghdad operations command announced the death of 20 members of Daash organization in Al-Rafoush area west of Baghdad on the border with Anbar in western Iraq.
Command Spokesman Brigadier Saad Maan said in a statement today that a 60th Brigade force managed in an operation to kill 20 Daash terrorists and to destroy 4 vehicles fitted with machine guns in Al-Rafoush area West of Baghdad on the border with Anbar in western Iraq.
Meanwhile, a security source said in Tikrit said 7 Daash militants in an Iraqi warplanes raid south of Tikrit in northern Iraq.
The source said the army shelled vehicle carrying a number of Daash militants in Balad district, South of Tikrit, killing seven of them.
In another development, the Peshmerga forces today reached Zamar area in Nineveh province. They are locked in streets war against Daash terrorists and managed to liberate a number of villages and main roads.
The Beshmerga commander near Zamar said his forces launched an attack on Daash insurgents in the centre of Zamar, managed to liberate a number of villages and an oil station which had been under the control of Daash militants.
