The Iraqi federal police repelled Friday an attack by the terrorist Daesh group on the country's largest oil refinery in Baiji in Saladin governorate, northern Iraq.
The police destroyed by missiles three booby-trapped vehicles and two cars belonging to Daesh and killed militants inside them, a security source said.
Meantime in Anbar governorate, western Iraq, 150 Daesh militants said they will surrender if security forces attack Fallujah, according to commander of the federal police in the city.
Those Daesh militants are residents of Fallujah and had vowed to stay inside one of the city's mosques during any attack by the security forces, he added.
