
Iraq's President Fuad Massoum on Thursday called for intensifying efforts to forge a regional stance against terrorism.
Massoum made the call during his meeting with the Jordan's Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Nsour, who is leading a ministerial delegation to a Baghdad visit.
Al-Nsour handed Massoum a message from King Abdullah II, confirming Jordan's support to Baghdad and the US-led coalition in the war against terrorism, according to a presidential statement.
Massoum stressed the necessity of bolstering joint action among the region's countries to combat terrorism.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri has urged establishing an Arab defense force against terrorism. During a meeting with Al-Nsour, Al-Jabouri also called for executing the initiative to draft a unified anti-terrorism Arab law which he put forward during his last visit to Amman.
Means of enhancing bilateral cooperation featured high on the agenda of Al-Nsour visit to Iraq.
