The third edition of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity was granted to a humanitarian institution, which is not only a pioneer in the Republic of Egypt but also in the rest of the Arab world. The Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357 exerts tremendous efforts to provide free treatment for children with cancer in Egypt and Arab countries,” Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa has affirmed.
“The award, one of the most important initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, was presented to the hospital for this purpose, which reflects its noble international humanitarian message,” the minister wrote in the Diplomatic Gazette.

“It has been named after a great historic leader, the Late Amir of Bahrain, Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, May God rest his soul in peace. Shaikh Isa, the man of noble and generous traits, undertook a developmental role that contributed significantly to the progress of Bahrain in all political, economic and social fields,” he said.

“Established in 2009 following the directives of His Majesty the King, the Isa Award for Service to Humanity has become a landmark to honor humanitarian generosity, and represents a true image of the people of Bahrain and their history. The award also reflects the values embraced in the Kingdom of Bahrain of religious and cultural tolerance, harmony, brotherhood and openness. It has achieved international recognition thanks to the efforts of the organizers, led by the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the board of Trustees of the award, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa,” according to the minister’s article.

“The award has become the first in the Middle East to honor individuals or institutions who tirelessly and selflessly work towards improving the difficult conditions of others. It aims at inspiring more people to exert further efforts and carry out more charitable and humanitarian projects to make this world a better place,” Minister Shaikh Khalid added.

“The Isa Award for Service to Humanity will remain a representative of a country that focused its efforts and capabilities to promote devotion and kindness. It reflects the country’s foreign policies that aim at bringing the international community together in order to achieve international peace and stability.”

“Based on its great legacy of principles, Bahrain supports all initiatives aimed at consolidating the dialogue of civilizations and cultures, as well as promote coexistence among all peoples, and always aspires to achieve the wellbeing of all humanity,” the minister concluded his article in the Diplomatic Gazette.
