The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) announced on Wednesday that it managed to capture at least 20 soldiers from Bashar Al-Assad's forces and other forces loyal to the regime in clashes near Tabqa military airport controlled by the ISIL three days ago.
The ISIL detained a head of a hospital at Raqqa and three women, accusing them of collaborating with Syrian regime, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said in a statement on Wednesday. In a related development, Shaam News Network (SNN) said that Syrian rebels seized on Wednesday Qonaitera border crossing with Israel in fierce clashes in which a number of regime soldiers were killed, the statement added.
In the countryside of Damascus, Syrian rebels are clashing with Assad's forces who are trying to advance toward areas in Al-Qalmoun Mountains, noted the statement.
Three persons were killed and several others injured in two air raids by the regime's army on a city in the countryside of Damascus, added the report.
In Damascus Governorate, there was an explosion, the statement said, without giving more details. Four other people were killed by strikes on some areas, it added.
