Jordanian King Abdullah II asserted on Sunday the Palestinian cause is still the core issue in the Middle East region, saying the Islamic and Christian holy places in Al Quds are red line.
In a message to Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People Fodé Seck, the Jordanian king said Jordan will continue its religious and historical duties towards Al Aqsa Mosque.
He made the remarks on the occasion of UN-organized International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
If the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is not solved, the region will keep suffering of the absence of security and instability, he warned.
The ongoing Israeli assaults on Al Aqsa mosque undermine all attempts to resume the Middle East peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis, he said.
