Outgoing Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki said elements of the terrorist organization (IS) started fleeing from the city of Mosul and the areas under their control because they are aware the seriousness to clear all the lands from their control.
Maliki said in his weekly speech: "defeating terrorists from different areas means the return of the displaced and start reconstruction for the cities and restore the unity of Iraq," adding that the people of Amerli showed the finest examples in the tournament and redemption for defending their city. "
Maliki added: "The international community paid attention to the risk on stability and security situation in the world, although late, but it represents a very important thing," praising international efforts to deliver humanitarian aid for Amerli and its neighboring regions.
He explained that "the terrorist organization despaired of progress one step in the light of progress of the security forces and the popular mobilization in different regions. And the areas which the Islamic State controlled in the past have started losing them one after the other because of the strikes by our security forces."
