
Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Nabil Al-Araby discussed here on Tuesday with the head of the Arab Commission for Human Rights and Chairman of the Qatari National Committee for Human Rights, Ali Al-Marri a number of issues, especially with regard to the Arab Court for Human Rights. According to a press statement, the meeting touched on ways to follow-up implementation of the decision of the recent Arab summit to set up an Arab Court for Human Rights, as well as participation in a conference to be hosted by Bahrain next May 25 on the statute of the Arab Court for Human Rights. The statement noted that Al-Marri asked the Arab League to support the Commission's efforts to organize a conference on security and human rights, in coordination with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights
