Forming a joint Arab force for protecting Arab national security is still under consultation, the Arab League chief said.
In statements to the Saudi newspaper Okaz out Tuesday, Nabil el Arabi said Arab foreign ministers have prepared an all-out plan for confronting terror, not only at the security level, but also at the intellectual and ideological levels.
It took six months to prepare the study, he said, adding that Arab states have not so far responded on means of implementing it.
Meanwhile, Arabi considered the Turkish interference in Iraq as violating international charters and United Nations resolutions.
He said "the region is in a state of mayhem."
