The Jordanian government condemned the killing of the Palestinian Minister, Ziad Abu Ein, who died after he was attacked by the Israeli soldiers and targeted with tear gas during a march in the Turmusaya town, north of Ramallah.
Speaking to Petra, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications, Mohammad Momani, assured that the killing of Abu Ein is a clear evidence of the Israeli violations of human rights, and one more in the list of their crimes against the unarmed Palestinian people.
Momani rejected the Israeli justifications for the incident, calling upon the international community to intervene to stop such actions and support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as per pre-1967 border.
The minister warned that the continuous Israeli aggressions against Palestinians will reflect negatively on the efforts, being exerted by Jordan, to resume the peace process, stressing the need to resume the negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
Abu Ein, along with his portfolio in the Palestinian Government, was also the head of the wall and settlement resistance committee.
