King Abdullah II of Jordan met on Wednesday with former Sudanese Minister of Endowments and Head of the Islamic Fiqh Academy Dr. Essam al Bashir.
The two sides discussed challenges facing the Arab and Islamic nations, especially international terrorism.
King Abdullah, for his part, called on all Islamic bodies to cooperate to debunk misconceptions about Islam.
"This will help protect the future generations," he said.
Bashir, meanwhile, offered condolences to King Abdullah over the murder of Jordanian hostage Muaz el-Kasasbeh by the terrorist Daesh group.
He also hailed Jordan's efforts to achieve stability in the region and defend the true image of Islam.
