Jordan's Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Hayel Abdul Hafeez Dawood has commended Kuwait's humanitarian role aiming at supporting the Syrian refugees who are living in makeshift shelters across the country.
In a statement to KUNA, Dawood voiced his gratitude to Kuwait's continuous efforts to help Syrian refugees upon the directions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Kuwait has been launching campaigns of relief aid to support the Syrian refugees in a bid to alleviate their sufferings, he said, noting such campaigns affirm that Kuwait is a "humanitarian center".
All Jordanian people appreciate humanitarian roles by all Kuwait's bodies and institutions aiming at helping Syrian refugees, he said.
Minister Dawood asserted that such support promotes and consolidates brotherly relations among Muslims, urging all Arab and Muslim countries to support needy people and to take Kuwait as a model in this regard.
