
Jordanian King Abdullah II has reaffirmed his country's fully backing to Iraq in its ongoing fight against terrorism and terrorist groups.
The king made the remark during a meeting with the visiting President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar Al-Hakim here on Sunday, the Royal Court said in a statement.
During the meeting, they also tackled Jordanian-Iraqi relations and ways of strengthening them in various fields and the latest Middle East developments, it said.
The Jordanian king said Jordan supports efforts to build a better present and future of Iraq, and enable it to consolidate its national unity, it added.
For his part, Al-Hakim expressed his appreciation for the King's supportive stances towards Iraq and its people, and his efforts to strengthen regional security and stability in the Middle East.
