
Saudi Arabia and Jordan agreed on Wednesday to form the Jordanian-Saudi Coordination Council in Riyadh city.
The council aims at deepening strategic relations between the two countries and boosting mutual cooperation in all fields, a joint statement issued after a meeting between Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Jordanian King Abdullah II said.
Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman Al Saud and Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour will lead their countries' sides at the council's meetings.
