
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Mohammad Tayseer Bani Yaseen, on Wednesday, discussed with Tunisian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Touhami Abdouli, bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.
The two officials stressed the need to enhance Jordanian-Tunisian ties in various fields and called for closer cooperation on issues of common concern.
They also reviewed the latest developments in Iraq and Syria, emphasizing the importance of reaching a political solution and resorting to a dialogue there.
The Tunisian official praised the efforts of Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to achieve peace and stability in the region and defend Arab causes.
He also praised Jordan's active membership in the UN Security Council.
