
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawood on Tuesday discussed with his Palestinian counterpart Yousef Al Deis ways to boost cooperation between the two ministries.
During the meeting held in the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the Jordanian official highlighted the royal keenness to defend the Palestinian cause and Muslim and Christian holy places.
The Kingdom, he added, takes all measures to facilitate the pilgrimage of Palestinians in the West Bank.
Dawood said that the ministry will be holding training courses for Palestinian scholars about the Amman Message, which highlights the true image of Islam, while noting its keenness to benefit from the expertise of Palestinian religious figures.
The Jordanian minister highlighted the Kingdom's role in confronting the Israeli violations against Al Asqa Mosque.
