
Jordanian Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hayel Dawood hailed Egypt's vital role in supporting issues of the Arab and Islamic nation.
In statements to MENA during an international conference on religious minorities Monday, the minister said Egypt makes great efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.
He also lauded Azhar's important role as a beacon for moderate religious enlightenment to the whole world.
The minister also appropriated cooperation relations between Jordan and Egypt in various fields.
He added that Jordan coordinated with Egypt's religious institutes to confront terrorism, renew religious discourse and train Jordanian imams.
A cooperation protocol will be signed soon with Al Azhar to train Jordanian imams, the minister said.
