
The Civil Defence Department (CDD) dealt with 535 incidents during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, a statement issued by the department said on Wednesday.
These accidents claimed the lives of six people and left 385 others injured. Four of the deaths occurred in traffic accidents in Amman, Zarqa , Balqa and Ma'an. Further, a Filipina died when she drowned in the Gulf of Aqaba.
The CDD Media Center said that its personnel also responded to 245 reports of fire incidents and carried out 290 rescues, shifting 1,494 persons to hospitals across the Kingdom.
