Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour Wednesday held a luncheon in honor of Libyan Interim Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thani and his accompanying delegation.
Ensour welcomed the guest, stressing that His Majesty King Abdullah II has instructed him to place Jordanian capabilities and expertise at the disposal of the Libyan brothers.
The prime minister expressed hope that the Libyan people enjoys security, and stability and come out of their ordeal stronger.
He also stressed that the most significant challenge Jordan currently faces is the fight against terrorism, which hit Jordan just as it hit Libya. He noted the importance of highlighting the true image of Islam.
The Libyan Interim Prime Minister valued Jordan's support to the Libyan people and praised the wisdom of His Majesty in leading Jordan and maintaining its security and stability in this troubled region.
He expressed Libya's desire to benefit from Jordan's expertise to build institutions in his country, pointing out that the former regime in Libya did not work on constructing the state apparatus, which resulted in underdeveloped sectors, especially in education and health.
Al-Thani called on Arab countries to support the Libyan people to cope with the conditions and challenges they face.
