
Journey of Hope Board of Trustees Member Abdulrahman Al-Awadi expressed gratitude for His Highness the Amir's sponsorship of the journey.
"The support of Your Highness was the springboard for the building the Journey of Hope boat," Al-Awadi said in a speech during His Highness the Amir's reception of the journey's caretakers and team.
"On behalf of all team members, I thank His Higher the Amir 'the Humanitarian Leader' on his non-stop backing to the expedition." He was also appreciative of the private sector's support to the journey.
Board of Trustees Member and Head of Sailing team Jassem Al-Bader stated that the team had made enormous achievements during the seven-month around-the-world excursion.
He added that many visited countries and international organizations, at the forefront of which the United Nation organizations, have expressed admiration of the expedition and its noble message.
Al-Bader voiced gratitude for Kuwaiti diplomats and visited countries' officials who warmly welcomed the journey team and helped overcome obstacles facing it.
He deeply thanked His Highness the Amir for his support.
Then, the Journey's Board of Trustees' Secretary and CEO Yusuf Al-Jassem handed His Highness the Amir the Journey of Hope's key.
