The Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation has distributed thousands of food baskets to poor families in Palestine as part of its Ramadan food aid programme in the Gaza Strip.
The Foundation said that families whose homes were completely destroyed during the recent events in the Strip had also benefitted from the aid programme.
The National Islamic Committee for Development and Social Solidarity, which is supervising the Ramadan food aid programme, expressed gratitude to the UAE for its consistent support to the Palestinian people, notably in Gaza.
It said the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation is providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in Gaza as part of its efforts to ease their suffering during the severe economic conditions they are experiencing.
