A joint consular committee will convene Sunday in Cairo to discuss Egyptian-Sudanese consular issues, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim el Ghandour asserted on Monday.
The committee will address issues related to Egyptians in Sudan and Sudanese in Egypt and overcoming obstacles facing the movement, travel and stay for the nationals of the two countries.
Held under the Egyptian deputy foreign minister and Sudanese state minister for foreign affairs, "the joint committee will pave the way for holding the high joint committee under the chairmanship of presidents of the two countries, scheduled to be held in Cairo soon," Ghandour said in statements.
The latest meetings that grouped President Abdel Fattah El Sisi with his Sudanese counterpart Omar Hassan Bashir, on the sidelines of the Business for Africa, Egypt and the World forum, did not address the issue of Sudanese in Egypt, Ghandour added.
These issues are set to be tackled later by both neighboring countries.
