His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a written letter from the Amir of the State of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah inviting His Majesty the King to attend the 34th GCC Summit in Kuwait on December 10 and 11. This sheds light on the Kingdom of Bahrain's effective role in managing the region's dossiers in the months since Bahrain has assumed the presidency of the GCC Summit on December 24, 2012. Bahrain hosted the 33rd GCC Summit last year (2012) and has since exerted concerted efforts in leading the GCC Organization and its affiliated institutions leading to results aimed to fulfil the GCC peoples' aspirations in terms of ushering into a new phase of GCC cooperation. Bahrain's efforts were welcomed by brotherly GCC countries and friendly countries outside the Arabian Gulf. The Summit presidency that spanned one year was teeming with efforts and accomplishments ascribed to the wise leadership of His Majesty the King. These accomplishments would not have yielded fruits without full cooperation of the brotherly GCC leaders.
