His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received a phone call from US Vice President Joe Biden and discussed a number of issues and developments in the Middle East, particularly the crisis unfolding in Iraq.
The US Vice President reiterated his country's full commitment to its seventy-year old strategic partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain and support to its security and stability.
HM King Hamad and Vice President Biden discussed the crisis in Iraq and agreed on the need for the Iraqi leaders to set aside their sectarian strife and confront the serious security threat to their country.
