
The Kingdom's Grand Mufti and President of Senior Scholars Council and Scholarly Research and Ifta Presidency Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh stressed that the implementation of religious sentences against 47 criminals was based on the Holy Quran and Prophet's Sunnah within the framework of the nation's keenness on its integrity and stability and defending its security, money, honor and minds.
He said in a statement to the first channel of Saudi television what we heard is a clear statement based on the Holy Quran and Prophet's Sunnah, mentioning the views of scholars and their consensus on this issue, adding that these are the necessities which Islam maintains including religion, the life of people, honor, minds and money, explaining the results of the application of the provisions of the Islamic law and that its implementation is for the interest of the people, deterring evils, and preventing chaos in their ranks.
