
MP for the Kurdistan Alliance, Alla Talabani said that her alliance is seeking to get presidency of one of the independent bodies in addition to the election commission will not demanding a new security positions in the government of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
She told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "During the joint talks of the Kurdistan with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi , we did not ask for any new security positions for the Kurdistan Alliance."
Talabani added that "the alliance aspires to obtain the presidency of one of the independent bodies, along with the presidency of the Electoral Commission, which is currently a part of its share."
She added that "the Kurdistan Alliance is not intend to demand new security positions as much as an earnest desire to work with partners in order to complete the formation of the ministerial cab and go with the prime minister Haidar al-Abadi for resolving the outstanding issues and put an end to political differences between the Iraqi parties."
She confirmed that "the positions of director of military intelligence, deputy army chief of staff and director of the National Information Agency is part of the share of the Kurdistan Alliance and we are not looking for other positions " .
