Kuwait: Embassy in Beirut verifies reported kidnap of Kuwaiti citizen

The Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut said it is in contact with the Lebanese security bodies over reports on the abduction of a Kuwaiti citizen in east Lebanon.
The Embassy is closely following up the issue to verify the reported kidnap and determine the circumstances of the abduction, and would work for the safe release of the Kuwaiti citizen, it said in a statement to the official KUNA news agency.
Media reports said a Kuwaiti citizen was kidnapped in Baalbek district and his captors demand a ransom to release him.
