Kuwait hosted Tuesday the fifth meeting of the major donors in support of the humanitarian situation in Syria.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman of the International Islamic Charity Organization Abdullah Al-Matouq described the meeting as a platform to set priorities of finance and responses in support of Syrians.
The meeting also works on enhancing international efforts exerted to back Syrian refugees, whether within the Syrian borders or abroad.
The Syrian crisis requires concerted regional and international efforts to protect daily civilian victims, Matouq said, affirming that the failure to solve the Syrian crisis for about five years was shameful.
He reiterated the importance of finding a political solution to the crisis, ending continued fighting between warring parties and allowing the entry of food and relief materials to the victims.
