Kuwait's embassy in Yemen will resume operations from the southern city of Aden, KUNA quoted a foreign ministry source as saying on Friday.
This is part of the country's support to legitimacy in Yemen, represented by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, and goes in line with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Initiative, the source added.
The decision responds to what has been agreed upon by GCC Foreign Ministers in a recent meeting, reflected in a final statement that reiterated support to legitimate authority in Yemen, as well as the UNSC resolution 2201, the source said.
The Kuwait foreign ministry source stressed that security and stability in Yemen will only be realized through commitment to the GCC Initiative and its implementation mechanism.
