
Kuwait's permanent delegate to the Arab League Ahmad Al-Bakr on Monday renewed the country's backing to Palestinians, providing humanitarian aid to Gaza and financial support to the Palestinian Authority.
The state of Kuwait, head of the current Arab Summit, initiated an Arab League Foreign Ministers meeting to discuss the Israeli aggression on Gaza, Al-Bakr told KUNA on Monday.
The statement was made on the sidelines of a Monday meeting for the League's permanent representatives.
The FMs meeting was held on July 14.
Al-Bakr noted that at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, food stuffs and medical supplies worth USD 10 million were sent to the Palestinian people in Gaza through the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS).
In addition, Kuwait is having consultations with Arab countries and the Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Arabi who is visiting the country this week, on the Arab action over the coming period.
