Kuwait's Ambassador to the Netherlands Hafiz Mohammad Al-Ajmi on Sunday confirmed the country's support to all activities of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
The OPCW has exerted great efforts handling several issues related to chemical weapons, especially in Iraq, Syria and Libya, Al-Ajmi said in a statement.
Kuwait is taking part in the 77th Session of the OPCW Executive Council to be held in The Hague, 7-10 October.
According to Al-Ajmi, the session will discuss several technical reports, topped with ones on the resolutions of the Conference of the States Parties and the Executive Council, in addition to the progress achieved in the implementation of the Action Plan on the OPCW Globalism.
Other issues to be addressed include a report by the OPCW fact-finding mission in Syria, another by the Advisory Body on Administrative and Financial Matters as well as the Third Review Conference.
All issues relevant to the destruction of chemical weapons will be submitted to the Conference of the States Parties due on 1-5 December 2014, the statement said.
