
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Austria Sadeq Marafi met Tuesday with Secretary General of Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Nasser Bourita.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Arab group's activities in Vienne to support joint Arab issues at UN organizations and its specialized agencies, particularly issues concerning the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Ambassador Marafi, also Chairman of the Arab Ambassadors Council in Vienna, told KUNA that he reviewed with the Moroccan official preparations of the Arab group in Vienna for the upcoming 58th session of IAEA, due on September 22-26, which would discuss nuclear safety and security, the international agreements on using nuclear power for peaceful purposes, and cooperation in the fields of health, environment, and water availability.
The Kuwaiti diplomat also said that he has reviewed with a number of Moroccan officials the Arab Ambassadors Council's latest activities in Vienne.
Meanwhile, Bourita assured his country's support to Arab Ambassador Council's efforts toward joint Arab issues, prominently peace and security in the Middle East region, expressing at the same time his appreciation to Arab Ambassadors to Vienne for their constant efforts of mutual coordination and consultation, Ambassador Marafi noted.
He also commended Bourita's unlimited support to the Council's activities in Vienne, reiterating keenness in having Moroccan officials acquainted with the Council's activities and actions in order to boost Arab diplomatic presence in Austria, UN bodies, and specialized international agencies.
