
The Kuwaiti Army has launched a blood donation campaign to make up for severe shortage in its blood bank during the past month, the Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah has urged the ministry's personnel, including civil servants, to take part in the campaign for national and humane reasons.
The Army has contributed to previous such campaigns, for donating blood is a national and humane duty, the official statement said.
Coordination is underway by the MoD and the data bank to set donation days, equip assigned medics and prepare vehicles to be used during the campaign.
