The cabinet has instructed state agencies concerned to take necessary moves to translate His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's directives to maintain national security and stability into reality.
This took place during a weekly cabinet meeting held at Seif Palace under chairmanship of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
During the meeting, the ministers reviewed the contents of His Highness the Amir's instructions for all state bodies to confront resolutely all acts and behaviors that could undermine national security and stability.
The cabinet lauded the positive responsible role and sincere efforts of all security forces in maintaining the country's national security and stability.
Out of national responsibility for safeguarding the State's constitution and establishments and standing against anything that could destabilize national security in the country, the cabinet emphasized that all state bodies involved should take all necessary measures to maintain security and stability in the country and to impose the State's homage and prestige and that security forces should decisively stand against any illegal moves or practices in order to protect people and public and private prosperities.
The cabinet also stressed that the Interior Ministry ought to take all necessary moves to ensure that all citizenship requirements are met and that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor should check that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) commit themselves to relevant laws so as to ensure that they only play their due social non-political role.
Furthermore, local mass media should live up to responsibility through the promotion of public awareness, the denunciation of all manifestations of chaos and riot and advocacy of the freedom of expression in a peaceful manner and through legally available channels.
Finally, the cabinet voiced confidence that the Kuwaiti people are capable of embodying the national unity and standing united as one in face of anything that could jeopardize the nation's security and stability.
