
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mubarak Al-Khurainej headed to Cairo on Thursday to participate in the preparatory meetings of the Arab Parliament's first legislative session, scheduled to kick off on Tuesday.
In a statement to KUNA before leaving the country, Al-Khurainej said that members of the Arab Parliament taking part in the session will participate in the committees on political and foreign affairs and national security.
The deputy speaker noted that he will participate tomorrow in a sub-committee in charge of following up the implementations of the national security committee meeting in Cairo on October 28-30.
The senior lawmaker added that another procedural session will be held on December 6th to elect a President of the Arab Parliament and four deputies, in addition to election of heads of committees and the formulation of a parliament office.
Al-Khurainej added that the public session which will be held next Tuesday, will discuss reports of the committees for approval and submitted to the next Arab summit for adoption.
