
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with the attendance of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received Board of Trustees and caretakers of the "Journey of Hope" at Bayan Palace Wednesday.
His Highness the Amir lauded the efforts exerted by the journey officials and team to convey to the world the noble message of caring for people with special needs and Kuwait's experience in this regard. His Highness the Amir wished the journey's team more success in their mission.
For his part, the Journey's Board of Trustees' Secretary and CEO Yusuf Al-Jassem thanked His Highness the Amir for his unlimited support to people with special needs and to the around-the-world expedition.
He noted that the "Journey of Hope" boat sailed from Kuwait on the 1st of May and passed through 46 ports and over 20 countries.
Over 22 celebratory events were held at intervals in all ports en route with a view to unifying people of all cultures and religions towards a collective effort to care for and benefit those with intellectual disability everywhere, he said.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Amir Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.
