
First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah headed Sunday to Iraq on an official visit.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled is heading an Arab delegation consisting of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Ahmed Ould Teguedi, whose country holds the current session of the Arab League, and Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Al-Araby.
The visit comes to reaffirm decisions adopted by the Arab League to show support and solidarity with the Iraqi people and government in their efforts to fight terrorism and restore security and stability.
The delegation is scheduled to meet with Iraq's President Dr. Fuad Masum, Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi and House Speaker Dr. Salim Al-Jubouri, as well as a number of senior Iraqi officials.
