
The General Secretariat of Awqaf has launched watering projects in about 1,600 mosques in Kuwait in collaboration with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in order to distribute water for worshippers throughout the year.
This project will save a lot of money to the country, Director of the Water Waqf Projects in the Secretariat Dr. Naji Al-Essa said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Secretariat has provided about 120,000 Iftar meals to 22 mosques since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, including Iftar Banquets inside Kuwait.
The project was in cooperation with the Revival of Islamic Heritage Society, Islam Presentation Committee and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Society, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of Awqaf Dr. Abdul Mohsen Al-Jarallah Al-Kharafi said in statement.
