
Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Wednesday affirmed necessity of coordination between the ministry and the governorates' authorities for serving higher national interests and the homeland's security and stability.
The governorates' authorities play a major role in implementing the State general policy and following up on its ventures, said Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled during a meeting with the Capital Governor (ret. Maj. Gen.) Thabet Al-Muhanna, and Hawally Governor (Lieut. Gen.) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled, during the meeting, stressed on necessity of following up on conditions in each of the governorates, in implementation of the State general policies and relevant legal and administrative regulations, in a manner that would ensure public interests.
"There are heavy responsibilities on our shoulders and great tasks for the homeland and its natives," said Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled.
Moreover, the minister reiterated that the country's ministers and officials "bear a precious trust" of administering the country, in shadow of the sagacious leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
He also expressed deep appreciation for the governors' efforts to realize the aspired national objectives, while stating certain guidelines to speed up some development plans in the governorates.
The minister, who examined the tasks being performed in the capital and Hawally, discussed some other issues with the governors.
