Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al Hamad al Sabah arrived in Cairo on Sunday to attend the extraordinary Arab foreign ministers meeting on the repercussions of attacks on the Saudi embassy and consulate in Iran.
Also, Lebanese and Somali Foreign Ministers; Gibran Bassil and Abdulsalam Omer respectively, arrived in Cairo to attend the meeting.
The meeting – held at Saudi Arabia's request – will also discuss Iran's interference in Arab internal affairs.
Tension between the Sunni kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Shia state of Iran heightened on the back of Saudi Arabia's execution of popular Shia cleric Nimr al Nimer along with 46 people accused of terror offenses on January 2.
