
Colonel Anwar Khaled Al-Nuwayef, the State of Kuwait's Military Attache in Qatar, has praised inter-GCC military and security cooperation.
This cooperation has led to enhancement of "the professional capacities of personnel of the (Kuwaiti) Army and the National Guards and has boosted their skills," said Col. Al-Nuwayef, in remarks to KUNA, on sidelines of a graduation ceremony of officers of the Kuwaiti Army and the National Guards. He also hailed performance of the newly-graduated officers.
Captain Mohammad Al-Ateeq of the National Guards came second in the first course for infantrymen, while his fellow citizen, Capt. Fahad Al-Hadi of the Kuwaiti Army was third. This four-month course for ground forces involved 12 personnel of the Kuwaiti Army and the National Guards.
The military attache added that Major Turki Fawaz Al-Sabah of the Kuwaiti Army came second in the security and intelligence course. His fellow national, Capt. Faisal Sami Al-Sahow of the army, was third and Major Abdullah Al-Duwaisan was fifth. This course that had lasted for three months included eight officers of the Kuwaiti Army, along with officers from other GCC countries.
Col. Al-Nuwayef hailed the Kuwaiti-Qatari military cooperation stating that enrollment of the Kuwaiti personnel in various training courses in and outside Kuwait is in line with instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, and the Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Mohammad Al-Othman
