
Kuwaiti military personnel who were detained on disciplinary grounds have been given a pardon ahead of the Islamic festive occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
The decision, taken by Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces Lt Gen Mohammad Al-Khodhor, was granted so that the soldiers may share the joyous occasion with their families and according to the directions of Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.
According to a ministry statement, the minister had congratulated members of the military on Eid, wishing them wellness and prosperity, and for the country's security and stability to continue thriving under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
