
Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Tuesday stressed importance of the role of civil society institutions in GCC countries, mainly to the process of sustainable development.
Sheikh Salman made his remarks during his reception of founder Qatari-based Ghanem Mohammad Al-Miftah institution; Ghanem Al-Miftah.
Sheikh Salman was briefed on Al-Miftah's institution and its contributions in the humanitarian field at the GCC level, as well as in the GCC childcare area, a ministry statement said.
For his part, Al-Miftah emphasized the significance of naming Kuwait as a humanitarian center and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a humanitarian leader by the United Nations.
