
Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad ordered the release of all imprisoned policemen, who were jailed for disciplinary reasons, on the occasion of the coming Eid Al-Fitr, expected next Monday.
A press statement by the Ministry's Security Media Department, issued on Wednesday, said the order was taken upon instructions from the Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
The order states that the jailed policemen will be released in the last day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, expected to be Sunday.
