
A senior Kuwaiti official has lauded the just-concluded meeting of undersecretaries of the GCC ministries of social affairs and labor as "successful and fruitful".
The conferees discussed a wide array of key issues and matters in the social domain, primarily families and children, the handicapped and the elderly, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Abdulmohsen Al-Muteiri told KUNA following the wrapping-up of the meeting.
He pointed to full cooperation among the GCC member states concerning all social issues of common interest, and appreciated the role of the GCC Secretariat in the organizing of activities, workshops and festivals.
They conferees also thrashed out the agenda of issues to be discussed by GCC ministers of social affairs and labor during their forthcoming meeting, he added.
Also during the gathering, Qatar asked to play host to the next meeting of undersecretaries of the GCC ministries of social affairs and labor.
